Johor Bahru is served by the Sultan Ismail International Airport. Not in the city of Johor Bahru, but it is in Senai, about 28 kilometers. National carrier, Malaysia Airlines and budget Air Asia is here, carrying passengers daily in Johor Bahru. From there you can take a taxi to the city center.
Johor Bahru is connected to Singapore by two links. The most common is the Causeway, which enters into the heart of Johor Bahru city. This link is always stuck in traffic during peak hours of the many who travel in and out of Singapore for work. The alternative route would be the second link that connects Tuas in Singapore that is faster, traffic-free, but a bit expensive.

This is the most common of highways across the continent, though some could take the roads are a bit more risky. Alternatively, you can take a bus from major cities in Malaysia to get to Johor Bahru. Usually the bus stop at Larkin Bus Terminal where you can take public buses and the city. There are also taxi services here if you prefer to stop at their destination without problems. Another form of transport used rail services Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) which stops at the railway station in the city.
